The Kertist A Augustus Foundation
Honoring legacy, transforming lives, inspiring the next generation of youth leaders and community catalysts
Scholarships & Funding for Children of Active WAWU Members
The Kertist A Augustus Foundation in collaboration with the Dominica Waterfront and Allied Workers Union (WAWU) sees higher education as a catalyst, and an agent of change for individuals, families, communities, and nations. We envision a community that recognizes the importance of educational attainment and assures positive educational outcomes are accessible to all regardless of economic circumstance.
We award multiple scholarships each year to eligible candidates for supporting their children with textbooks and other school supplies ensuring the academic success for the student. The goal is to relieve students (prospective and previously enrolled) and their families from a significant part of the huge financial commitments of higher education.
